Our Philosophy

The Children’s Academy Preschool follows the Developmentally Appropriate practice.  This means that we focus on each child as an individual.  The teachers in the class plan activities and materials that are age appropriate and stage appropriate for their particular group of children.  We work with the children to find challenging yet achievable activities so they can build self esteem and feelings of accomplishment.
            We have high quality staff that are trained in child development and understand the needs of children.
            We follow the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards and are in the process of becoming accredited.  The NAEYC have put together guidelines and standards that are for the best interest of the children.
            Children learn through play.  They are preparing themselves for the adult world.  We plan hands on activities so the children are interested and excited about a topic yet are learning important lessons to become a well rounded child.  We prepare the children to succeed in elementary school and beyond.
